AMI Paris began in 2011 when Alexandre Mattiussi left studios at Christian Dior, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs to make clothes his own friends could actually afford to wear. Ami means friend in French and doubles as his initials, which tells you how personal the project was from the first rail. The Ami de Coeur line followed and turned a private habit into a global signature: the small heart perched on an A came straight from the sign-off Mattiussi had been scribbling at the end of notes to friends since he was a kid. The Small A Heart Polo is that idea in its most wearable form, a straight-cut cotton polo carrying one emblem and nothing else. Two easy ways to wear the Small A Heart Polo. Construction
The build is deliberately plain so the cotton can carry it.
