Ami Paris Tonal Ami De Coeur S/S T-Shirt Black

Alexandre Mattiussi spent years inside Dior, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs before starting AMI in 2011, and the reason was blunt: he could not afford the clothes he was designing. Ami means friend in French and doubles as his own initials, which tells you the entire brief. The heart topped A, the Ami de Coeur, arrived as its own line in 2017, drawn in playing card typography so the heart reads as a card suit rather than an emoji. It became the fastest recognised logo in modern Paris fashion, and the house went from roughly 35 million euros in revenue to around 300 million behind it. This tonal black version is the grown up cut of that logo: same heart, same chest placement, embroidered in the shirt's own colour so it whispers instead of shouting.
