Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 18 May 2019 as part of the Air Jordan 5 line. This release has the Ice Blue/Sail-Metallic Gold-University Red colourway. The Air Jordan 5 belongs to the Tinker Hatfield stretch when each model got a distinct identity rather than a version number, and it is one of the more aggressive shapes in the archive. This one is named in its title as the Trophy Room Ice Blue, style code CI1899 400, a release built around a translucent icy blue rather than a team block. Ice soles and pale blue uppers are a collector's language: they signal a limited run and they date the pair the moment the sole begins to age. Construction
The 5 is built with a padded, structured upper and Nike Air cushioning, which entered the line with the Air Jordan 2 and has stayed since.
