Adidas Originals Ctt Chinese Track Top Casual Jacket Olive

This one did not come out of Herzogenaurach. The CTT, short for Chinese Track Top, was designed in adidas's Shanghai studio for the domestic Chinese market, part of a New Chinese Style direction that reinterprets traditional Chinese tailoring through the brand's sportswear lens. The move is simple and clever: take the Originals track jacket everyone already knows, delete the visible zip, and close it instead with pankou, the knotted fabric buttons that run down a Tangzhuang, under a standing mandarin collar. The reference reaches back through Tang-inspired dress and the ma gua riding jacket. Olive is the restrained option in a lineup that also runs burgundy, deep blue and grey, and it is the colour that makes the jacket read as clothing rather than costume.
