Designed explicitly for basketball, the HOVR Havoc 2 'Taxi' is engineered for both indoor and outdoor play. The HOVR Havoc 2 'Taxi' made its mark during the UA Basketball Asia Tour of June 2019, where it was prominently displayed. Joel Embiid was seen showcasing the shoe in Tokyo, Japan, and later in Shenzhen, China, demonstrating its presence on the global stage. Dennis Smith Jr. joined Embiid in Tokyo and Shenzhen, contributing to the shoe's visibility during the Asia Tour. Mo Bamba also donned the 'Taxi' during the same tour, further solidifying its status as a key offering from Under Armour.

The 'Taxi' edition features a molded textile upper, fortified with micro-molded mesh and a protective rubber overlay on the toe. Its construction includes a half-bootie lining, a mesh tongue, and a webbed lacing system to ensure a secure fit. The midfoot incorporates a TPU shank, known as the Propulsion Plate, along with a HOVR outrigger, enhancing stability and responsiveness.
