Part of adidas's Samba line. This release has a leather upper in Putty Grey/Maroon/Gold Metallic. Putty grey with maroon is the Samba dressed for autumn. Putty is a warm, slightly dusty grey rather than a cold one, and the maroon sitting against it pulls the whole shoe toward brown, which is not a direction this silhouette usually goes. It is a colourway for people who already own the white pair and want something that behaves like a piece of clothing instead of a sports shoe. adidas has kept this shape in production long enough that the interesting decisions all happen at this level, in the choice of two tones and how much heat sits between them.

adidas Originals exists to sell shapes that culture already adopted.
