Ice blue is the colour that made the Casio Vintage ana-digi line collectible rather than merely cheap, and the AQ-230A-2A1MQYDF is that execution: a pale cold dial in a small steel case, hands and a digital window sharing one face. The format came out of Casio's engineering habit of refusing to choose. Analogue is faster to read at a glance, digital carries exact data, so the company put both in front of you and let the eye pick. This is the same instinct that produced the 14-A calculator in June 1957 and the Casiotron in November 1974, applied to a dial rather than a keypad, and preserved here without modernisation.
Utility
Two placements. First, summer neutrals: white linen, stone or khaki trousers, tan leather, where the cold dial cuts through a warm palette. Second, denim and grey: light indigo, marl grey knit, white sneakers, with the ice blue reading as a tonal match rather than a contrast. The small case makes it genuinely unisex and it suits narrow wrists better than modern sports sizing. Size the bracelet down until it is snug. Keep the crystal clean, since pale dials show dust. Avoid pools and seawater, and get the cell replaced before it dies rather than after.

Construction

On this reference the ice blue tone is cool enough to read as a colour rather than as off-white, which is what separates it from the plain silver versions on the same shelf.
