Released on 30 December 2020 and part of the Court Borough line. This release has a leather upper in White/White/White. A plain white shoe in grade school sizing is one of the most functional objects a sportswear company makes, and in India it has an extra life, because generations of school kits have specified white footwear and made it a weekly chore rather than a style choice. Court Borough Low 2 is Nike's version of that requirement: a low court shape with no cushioning story, no graphic and nothing to interpret, carrying only the Swoosh that Carolyn Davidson drew in 1971. Triple White strips out even the contrast panel. What is left is a shoe judged entirely on how clean you keep it, which is a fair test for the age group it is built for.
Two ways to use it. School and sports day wear with white socks and uniform shorts or trousers, which is the job this shoe is built for. Or weekend wear with denim shorts and a bright tee, where an all white shoe keeps a loud outfit grounded. Keep it off wet mud and red soil, which stain white synthetics permanently rather than temporarily. Buy with a thumb width of growing room, not a full size, because excess space causes heel slip. For care, clean weekly with a foam cleaner and a soft brush instead of monthly with a scrub, never put it in a washing machine, and dry it in shade because sun yellows white midsoles fast.
Nike's grip on the everyday came from the top of the range and worked downwards. The 1984 Michael Jordan signing and the Mars Blackmon advertising Spike Lee directed made the brand the shoe of basketball, and from there Air Jordans, Air Force 1s and Air Max models entered urban and hip hop dress before becoming ordinary casual wear in the 1990s and 2000s. Entry level court shoes carry the same Swoosh into places the hype releases never reach: classrooms, playgrounds, first pairs. Nike India has had a difficult commercial history, priced around 30 percent above competitors and closing roughly 200 stores from 2017, which makes the accessible end of the range the part most people here actually meet.
Everything about a triple white build is a cleaning problem waiting to happen, and the design accepts that. Upper, midsole, outsole and Swoosh all sit in one tone, so there is no dark panel to hide scuffs and no contrast line to distract from a stain. The advantage is that the whole shoe can be cleaned with one product and one method rather than treated panel by panel. The court pattern below is flat, low and stable with a rubber outsole meant for hard surfaces, plus a padded collar for easy entry. GS sizing is cut for a younger foot, so the fit is a little wider through the forefoot than a scaled down adult shoe would be.
