Adidas Adifom Adilette Slide C Solar Red

Released on 3 April 2024 and part of the Adilette line. This release has a synthetic upper in Solar Red/Solar Red/Solar Red. The Adilette is the shoe adidas made for the walk between the pool and the changing room, and it has outlived that job by decades. adiFOM is the modern rethink of it, where the whole slide is treated as one moulded foam object rather than a strap fixed to a footbed, which is the same appetite for engineering spectacle that produced the adidas 1 of 2005 with its microprocessor adjusting cushioning five million calculations a second. Solar Red pushes it further from function into object: a saturated, almost synthetic red that makes the moulded shape read as a designed thing rather than a utility item. The C designation puts it on kids' feet, which is where a bright monobloc slide makes the most sense.
