Released on 15 June 2025 and part of the Adizero SL2 line. This release has a mesh upper in Cloud White/Core Black/Lucid Red. Adizero SL2 is the workhorse end of adidas's racing family, the shoe that carries the adizero name into daily mileage rather than into a start pen. That split matters, because the competitive end of the line runs a thermoplastic polyester elastomer midsole with embedded carbon rods, and the daily end deliberately does not. What it borrows is the obsession with weight that adizero exists to serve, an obsession that traces straight back to Adolf Dassler building event specific shoes by hand in Herzogenaurach. White with black and Lucid Red is a training palette rather than a race one: a bright base you can see in traffic, a dark sole that hides road wear, and a saturated red accent that keeps the shoe from reading as generic.
