A slide is the least glamorous thing a sneaker brand makes and one of the most honest, because it only exists for the moments around the game rather than the game itself: locker rooms, recovery, walking to the car. Jordan Brand can make one credibly because it stopped being a single shoe in 1997 and became a standalone Nike division with apparel, accessories and a full roster of its own.
