The F50 is adidas's speed boot, the football silhouette built around acceleration rather than protection, and this is the signature edition made for Lamine Yamal and carried into a laceless Elite build for firm ground. adidas has been making event specific footwear since Adolf Dassler was working in his mother's laundry room in Herzogenaurach, and football boots are where that obsession stayed most literal: every gram, every stud, every millimetre of upper is argued over. A player edition changes the terms slightly. It adds identity to a tool, giving a boot a personal graphic language and a code, LYT304, that only means something to the people who follow the player. That is the modern football boot in one sentence.
On pitch: firm ground only, worn with a thin technical sock so the laceless upper holds properly against the foot. Wear them in gradually over training sessions rather than debuting them in a match, because a laceless boot has no adjustment once you are on the pitch. Off pitch: these are not casual shoes and treating them as such will destroy the soleplate, so keep them in a boot bag. Size carefully, as laceless fits should be snug with no heel slip and no toe pressure. After matches, knock the mud off while it is wet, wipe the upper down, stuff with newspaper to hold the shape, and dry at room temperature.
