Court Vision is Nike drawing on its own basketball archive without reissuing any single model from it. The silhouette borrows the language of the brand's 1980s court shoes, the low profile, the leather panels, the wide Swoosh, and rebuilds it as an everyday shoe at an everyday price. That is a very Nike move: the company reached roughly 50 percent of the US athletic shoe market by 1980 and went public on the strength of shoes ordinary people could actually buy, not just what elite athletes raced in. Mystic Navy takes it further from the court, replacing team white and black with a deep, slightly muted blue that behaves more like clothing than kit.
Two builds. First, easy weekday: mid or dark denim, a grey sweatshirt, a navy jacket, so the shoe sits inside a blue palette without matching exactly. Second, smart casual: stone or khaki chinos, a white oxford shirt, a navy knit, which is where a low navy court shoe replaces a loafer without looking sporty. Good for offices with relaxed dress codes, travel and daily walking. Court shoes like this fit true to size with a standard width. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth after wet days to stop salt lines forming, clean the midsole separately with a foam eraser, and air dry away from heat so the panels do not stiffen.
Nike's court shoes became the default of mainstream American youth dress after basketball made the brand culturally central in the 1980s, and that afterlife is what a shoe like this one is selling. The Court Vision Low is a leather look panelled upper over a cupsole with a perforated toe box and a stitched Swoosh across the midfoot, the standard grammar of a Nike court shoe. There is no visible Air window in the midsole here, so cushioning comes from the foam and insole, and the ride is firm and stable rather than bouncy. Navy is a forgiving colour that hides scuffs but shows salt marks and dust, particularly along the cupsole edge where dark upper meets pale rubber. A smooth upper cleans easily with a damp cloth and mild soap.
