Nike SB Dunk Low Navy Gum

Part of Nike's Dunk SB line. This release has a nubuck upper in Navy/White/Navy/Gum/Navy/Orange. Phil Knight stepped down as chairman in 2016, more than fifty years after selling Japanese running shoes from the back of his car, and the company has since been run by others, including Nike veteran Elliott Hill. Institutions that big usually lose their quieter products to noise, and yet the SB line keeps producing shoes like this one: navy over a gum outsole, no graphic, no collaborator, no anniversary. It is arguably the most complete colour combination in skate footwear. Navy is dark enough to hide abuse, gum is warm enough to stop the shoe looking severe, and together they have outlasted every trend the category has produced.
