Released on 1 July 2025 and part of Nike's Air Max Moto 2K line. This release has a mesh upper in Black/Metallic Silver/Anthracite. Nike's performance division is where the company still argues with physics. ZoomX, its altered Pebax foam, is the lightest and most responsive material in the range, and the Vaporfly that used it paired the foam with a full length carbon fibre plate that peer research found could improve marathon times by up to 4.2 percent. That is the standard the training side of the catalogue is measured against. The Air Max Moto 2K sits in the everyday half of that world, a women's trainer built on the Air lineage rather than on racing tech. Black with metallic silver is its most utilitarian dress: a dark base with reflective detailing that reads technical rather than decorative.
Black with metallic silver is built for movement, so style it that way. Wear it with black leggings or tapered technical trousers, a grey cropped zip up and a shell jacket for gym to street use, letting the silver pick up light as the only detail. Bowerman's waffle iron sole is the ancestor of all of it, the moment Nike decided traction and lightness were engineering questions. In black with metallic silver, the reflective sections are the fragile part: clean them with a soft damp cloth only, never a brush, and never machine wash, since agitation dulls metallic finishes permanently.
