Designed by Bruce Kilgore and released on 7 March 2025 as part of Nike's Air Force 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Pink Foam/Cobalt Tint/Metallic Silver. The Air Force 1 has been Nike's most patient shoe: a basketball model that became a uniform, worn continuously since the 1980s while trends moved around it. NOCTA is one of Nike's sub-label partnerships, and putting it on an Air Force 1 Low rather than on a running silhouette is the correct decision, because this is the shoe that carries the most street authority in the company's catalogue. Certified Lover Boy in Pink Foam takes the most familiar sneaker in America and does the one thing it is rarely allowed to do, which is soften it. A pale pink Air Force 1 is a bolder move than any technical release.
Two ways. Tonal soft: cream or grey sweats with a washed hoodie, keeping everything pale so the pink reads as a neutral rather than a statement. Hard contrast: black cargos and a black puffer, letting Pink Foam be the only warm thing in the fit, which is how pastel sneakers look intentional in winter. Air Force 1s run large, so half a size down is standard. Treat it as a dry weather shoe, clean the midsole after every few wears because white foam yellows once it is left dirty, and keep it away from denim that has not been washed, since raw indigo will transfer into pale leather.
From the 1980s onward Nike became a status symbol in urban and hip hop fashion, and Air Force 1s, Air Jordans and Air Max models became staples of mainstream American youth dress before reappearing in 1990s and 2000s casual and athleisure looks. The Air Force 1 sits at the centre of that, less a fashion object than a fact of daily life in a lot of cities. A music sub-label putting its name on it is a shortcut into that history, and a pastel colourway is how you signal that you know the rules well enough to break one. Nothing about it needs explaining to anyone who grew up around this shoe.
The Air Force 1 build is unchanged for a reason: a thick leather upper, a padded collar, a chunky midsole with Air cushioning sealed inside, and a circular pivot pattern on the outsole. Nike Air is pressurised gas contained in the midsole, cushioning the company later chose to make visible from the 1987 Air Max onward, though on the Air Force 1 it stays hidden under white foam. Pink Foam is a pale finish on a shoe famous for being white and pristine, so the maintenance is doubled: sole cleaner on the midsole, a soft brush on the panels, no bleach or harsh solvent on a tinted leather, and a rain day rule you actually keep.
