Released on 11 January 2024 and part of Nike's ZoomX Invincible 3 line. This release has a flyknit upper in White/Photon Dust/Fierce Pink/Deep Royal Blue. The Invincible is Nike's maximal cushioned trainer, the shoe that takes ZoomX, the altered Pebax foam developed for the Vaporfly and the lightest and most responsive material in the company's range, and pours far more of it under an everyday stride than a racing shoe would ever carry. That is the whole idea: race foam used for comfort instead of speed. The Resolutions colourway belongs to Nike's turn of year running releases, a moment aimed squarely at people making a promise about mileage. It is a knowing bit of marketing from the company that in 1988 built its identity on three words about simply starting, and the shoe underneath is genuinely good at the job.
Save the fast shoes for fast days and put your volume here. Easy runs, long runs and recovery jogs are where a maximal ZoomX trainer pays off, worn with cushioned socks and standard running kit. The second use is the day after a hard session, when your legs want protection more than feedback. Size with a thumbnail of toe room; Flyknit hugs and does not stretch much. Give yourself two weeks to adapt to the stack height before racing anything. Rotate to let the foam recover, remove insoles and air dry after wet runs, keep them away from radiators and machines, and expect the ZoomX to soften before the outsole wears out.
Nike's running credibility starts with Bill Bowerman, a University of Oregon track coach who co founded Blue Ribbon Sports in 1964 because he believed American runners deserved lighter and better shoes, and with Steve Prefontaine, the first track endorser, whose statue stands at Nike headquarters. The modern chapter is about foam. ZoomX and the carbon plate arrived together in the 2017 Vaporfly, which peer research found could improve marathon times by up to 4.2 percent, and World Athletics responded on 31 January 2020 with limits on stack height and plates. Trainers like this inherit the foam without the plate, which is how elite technology ends up in an ordinary weekly routine.

Flyknit gives a sock like upper that holds the foot with minimal material, the same principle behind Flywire cables: hold more, use less. Rubber is placed across the outsole in wear zones rather than as a full slab, keeping weight sensible for the amount of foam involved. Expect a bouncy, protective ride with a break in period while your legs adjust to the height.
