The Foam Runner started as the strangest object adidas and Ye had ever put on a shelf. It arrived through Yeezy Supply on June 26, 2020 in the Ararat colorway, a one-piece molded slip-on that people mocked for a week and then bought out for years. Yeezy design director Steven Smith led the build, and it landed as the first Yeezy produced in the United States, molded from EVA blended with harvested algae. The MX treatment came later, swirling multiple foam colours together so the marbling lands differently across pairs. The adidas Yeezy Foam RNR MX Granite, style code IE4931, released March 15, 2024 through the adidas Confirmed draw at 90 USD. Granite is the quiet one in the MX run: greys folding into greys, the version that goes with everything already in your rotation.
