Air Jordan 4 RETRO Cave Stone

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 6 September 2025 as part of the Air Jordan 4 line. This release has a nubuck upper in Cave Stone/Black/Moon Particle. Cave Stone is the fourth model treated as an object rather than as a uniform. The 4 was drawn under Tinker Hatfield in the stretch where each shoe in the line had to introduce a new idea, and its idea was visible engineering: netting for air, plastic wings for adjustable lacing, a sculpted midsole. Colouring it in a dry earth tone does something the original palettes never attempted, which is to make the shoe look like material rather than like equipment. The result belongs to the same widening that took the brand outside basketball entirely, to the Michigan Wolverines football programme in 2016 and to Paris Saint-Germain in 2018.
