ReactX Rejuven8 "Green Strike" sneakers

Origin
The Rejuven8 is the recovery shape in Nike's ReactX family, built around foam rather than around a sport. Green Strike gives it a hard, saturated green that pulls the shoe away from the muted tones recovery product usually wears and into something closer to a training colourway. Nike has been arguing about foam since Bill Bowerman decided in Oregon that American runners deserved something lighter and started experimenting with soles at home, and every cushioning platform since has been a version of that same problem. Style code HV5060 places this in the Rejuven8 run. It is a shoe whose entire specification is what sits under your foot.
Utility
Strike green is a single loud element, so build flat around it: black joggers and a grey hoodie, or dark straight leg trousers and a plain white tee. The second recipe is training adjacent, with black shorts and a white long sleeve, letting the green read as gym equipment. Use them for standing shifts, travel, walking and the hours after training, not for any sport requiring lateral movement. Take your usual size and expect a roomy fit. Foam scuffs and stains rather than tears, so wipe the midsole with mild soap and a damp cloth before marks set, and keep the shoe away from heat sources, which permanently deform foam.
Influence
Recovery footwear exists as a category because endurance athletes started treating the hours between sessions as trainable, and Nike had the laboratory credibility to sell into it after the ZoomX and carbon plate work that peer research found could improve marathon times by up to 4.2 percent. A bright green recovery shoe is that science wearing a sports uniform. It is also a reminder of how Nike's technology reaches most people: not through racing but through comfort, the same way Air went from a running innovation to a design feature you could see through a window in the midsole.
Construction
The midsole is the product. Expect a tall sculpted foam platform with a wide base for stability, a rockered profile so the foot rolls forward instead of pushing off, and side walls shaped to hold the heel. The upper is cut to let the foot move and swell without pressure points rather than to lock it down for lateral sport. Green Strike across the upper against a contrasting midsole makes the stack height obvious from the side, which is a deliberate design choice on this kind of shoe. Nike's engineered foams run from Lunarlite through ZoomX, the altered Pebax used in the Vaporfly, and the recovery platforms inherit that thinking.
