The 350 V2 first appeared at the Yeezy Season 3 presentation during New York fashion week in February 2016, then reached retail that September in Beluga, and it has been the reference point for knit sneakers ever since. MX Rock is where the line got experimental. Instead of a flat Primeknit base with one contrast stripe, the MX pattern twists several yarn colours together so the upper reads almost like marble. MX Oat went first, warm and sandy with red, blue, orange and yellow swirls. Care: brush the Primeknit dry, spot clean with mild solution, never machine wash, and keep them away from direct heat so the Boost keeps its bounce.
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is the sneaker that made knit uppers normal, and MX Rock is the colorway for people who already own the obvious ones. Its pattern comes from the same design family as the MXT Moon Grey Foam Runner, so it slots into the wider Yeezy world instead of sitting on its own, and it landed inside the MX run that pushed the silhouette away from clean two tone and into real texture. Because the palette stays in black, grey and brown, it manages the rare trick of being visually busy and still easy to wear with almost anything.
