Released on 21 April 2021 and part of the Court Borough line. This release has a leather upper in Cool Grey/Anthracite/Pure Platinum. The Court Borough is the shoe Nike makes for the part of the market that does not read release calendars. It takes the visual grammar of the brand's 1980s basketball shoes, the low leather panels, the perforated toe, the big Swoosh, and turns it into a durable everyday shoe, here in the GS grade school size run. That is a serious category for Nike. The company reached roughly half the US athletic shoe market by 1980 by selling to everyone, not just athletes, and school shoes are where a generation forms its first opinion about the Swoosh, a mark drawn by a design student and first used in June 1971.
