Tokuten means score in Japanese, and White Black Gold is the version of the model that treats that name as an award rather than a scoreboard. A clean white upper carries black panelling across the side, with gold picking out the trim and detailing so the shoe has a metallic edge that most of the range does not. Onitsuka started in Kobe in 1949 making basketball shoes, and a fuller, court leaning silhouette in white and black is the closest the modern fashion era gets to that beginning.
