Hoka Bondi 8 Shifting Sand / Vanilla

Released on 5 March 2024 and part of Hoka's Bondi 8 line. This release has a mesh upper in Shifting Sand/Vanilla. Bondi 8 is the generation where Hoka's deepest cushioned road shoe stopped being a specialist item and became a default. The brand had spent since 2009 arguing, from a small base in Annecy, that more foam made you faster downhill and fresher afterward, and by the eighth Bondi nobody needed convincing. Shifting Sand with Vanilla is the warm-neutral treatment of that shoe: a sandy tan upper over a creamy off-white midsole, no contrast, no accent colour. It is the Bondi styled as furniture rather than equipment, and it is one of the reasons the model kept selling long after the next number arrived.
