New Balance 408 Black Silver

Released on 12 July 2022 and part of the 408 line. This release has a mesh upper in Black. The 408 comes from the practical end of New Balance, the part of the range that exists because the company started in 1906 as an arch support business and never stopped selling comfort to people who are on their feet. It is not an archive hype model and does not pretend to be. Black Silver is the most honest colourway for it, a dark base with a metallic grey lift, the palette of a shoe designed to be worn every day rather than photographed. There is a whole category of New Balance customer who buys for fit and support first, and this is their shoe, sold on the same logic Riley used when he was making arch supports.
