New Balance 1906d Protection Pack - Turtledove

Released on 1 January 2023 and part of New Balance's 1906 line. This release has a suede upper in Turtledove/Black/Bone. The 1906D is the deconstructed reading of the 1906 shape, and Turtledove is the softest colour you could put on it, a warm pale grey with a hint of brown that takes all the aggression out of an aggressive build. The Protection Pack framing is the brand playing with the idea of armour, taking a running silhouette and dressing it as equipment. The number itself is the founding date, since New Balance began in 1906 near Boston as the New Balance Arch Support Company, so every 1906 model is the company writing its own year on the box.
