Jordan Nu RETRO 1 Low Chicago 2022 Air Jordan

Released on 19 September 2023 and part of the Jordan Nu Retro 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Varsity Red/Black/White. Chicago is the colour story Air Jordan is built on: red, black and white, the palette of the team Nike signed a rookie out of on 26 October 1984 with a six year deal worth 2.5 million dollars and a royalty on every pair sold. Those three colours now function as brand colours in their own right, independent of the franchise. The Nu Retro 1 Low is not a straight reissue of Peter Moore's 1985 design, it is a reworked take on the low cut 1 that keeps the recognisable panel language while changing how the shoe is put together. Putting Chicago on a reworked platform is a deliberate provocation: the most sacred colourway in the catalogue, applied to a version that refuses to be an OG.
