Air Jordan 4 RETRO Lakers

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 7 March 2026 as part of the Air Jordan 4 line. This release has the Imperial Purple/Multi-Color-Multi-Color colourway. The Jordan 4 is the model where Tinker Hatfield's design series hit full stride, adding netting panels and winged eyelets to a silhouette that still had to survive an NBA season. Naming a colourway after the Lakers puts a Bulls era shoe into rival colours, which is a move the brand can only make because the line stopped belonging to one franchise long ago: since 1997 it has been a standalone Nike division with its own athlete roster across basketball, football and baseball. A Lakers coded 4 is therefore not a contradiction so much as proof of scale. The shoe reads as a city reference now rather than as a jersey, which is how most Jordan colourways function.
