Released on 13 February 2026 and part of the Adizero Evo SL line. This release has a textile upper in Black/Red/Yellow. Black, red and yellow on an adizero racing shape is not a subtle piece of colour work, and it is not meant to be. The Bob Marley collaboration puts one of music's most recognisable colour combinations onto adidas' lightest performance line, which is a deliberate collision: adizero exists to make athletes faster, and the palette exists to be read instantly from a distance. adidas has done this kind of pairing longer than anyone, having effectively invented the modern designer and musician sneaker partnership through Yohji Yamamoto, Stella McCartney and Pharrell Williams. What is unusual here is putting the story on a competition derived runner rather than on a heritage court shoe.
Utility
This is a shoe with two lives. As a runner, use it for tempo work and shorter fast sessions rather than long slow miles, since the build prioritises lightness over protection. As a wearable object, black joggers with a plain black tee lets the red and yellow do all the work, or grey sweat shorts and a white tee for a summer look that keeps the palette visible. Racing fits run snug, so size accordingly if you plan to run in them. Light engineered uppers do not survive machine washing: hand clean with a soft brush, air dry away from heat, and rotate pairs if you are logging real mileage.
Influence
adidas runs two parallel identity systems, the Trefoil for Originals heritage product and the three angled bars for performance, and this shoe sits on the performance side while borrowing the cultural energy of the other. The brand's collaboration history is why that works: from Run-DMC in 1986 through Pharrell Williams, Bad Bunny, Beyonce and an Original Forever collection with Oasis, adidas has treated musicians as design partners rather than as billboards. Putting a music collaboration on a racing silhouette is the current version of that instinct, aimed at people who actually run.
Construction
The Evo SL is the stripped back trainer within adidas' adizero family, the racing line where the competition models use thermoplastic polyester elastomer midsoles with embedded carbon rods rather than a single stiff plate. This shoe is the everyday member of that group: a very light engineered upper, minimal overlays, and a foam midsole tuned for turnover rather than for maximum protection. Everything not needed for speed has been taken off, which is why the upper feels thin in the hand. Expect a snug, race style fit through the midfoot and a shoe that feels quick and unpadded compared with a cushioned daily trainer. Black hides road grime, which this palette quietly benefits from.
