Hoka Ora Athletic Slide White Black

Released on 1 July 2024 and part of the Ora Athletic Slide line. This release has a synthetic upper in White/Black. The Ora Athletic Slide in White Black is the most stripped down expression of what Hoka does. Take away the upper, the laces and the running brief, and what is left is the thing the brand was founded on in Annecy in 2009: an oversized cushioned platform. Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard built that platform so they could attack descents, and the same foam volume is what makes a slide worth owning once the run is done. White with black detailing keeps the shape legible, the sculpted footbed and thick sidewall reading clearly against the light upper. It is Hoka reduced to its founding argument, with nothing left to explain it.
