New Balance 327 Sea Salt

Released on 31 March 2021 and part of New Balance's 327 line. This release has a textile upper in Sea Salt/Black. The 327 is the New Balance archive redrawn with a graphic designer's eye. Where the 574 and the 99x line inherited their proportions from actual running shoes, the 327 exaggerates them, running the block N large across the side wall and turning the house mark into the whole design. Sea Salt is the colourway that suits that approach best, a pale, washed off white that lets the N read as shape rather than branding. New Balance has been a fit and support company since 1906, when it opened making arch supports, so even its most stylised shoe is built around a foot rather than a mood board. This is the brand at its most playful, and its lightest on the foot.
