Nike has spent sixty years building shoes for the minutes that count, starting with Bill Bowerman pouring rubber into a waffle iron in Oregon because he thought American runners deserved something lighter. The Mind line takes the opposite end of that same day: the pregame, the walk from the bus to the tunnel, the hour after. The 001 is a mule, backless and pull on, designed for the part of an athlete's routine that has no scoreboard. This colourway runs geode teal against light menta and canary with chrome detailing, a palette closer to a locker room than a court, which is the point. It is meant to look like recovery gear, not competition gear.
