Air Jordan 4 Rm Canyon Rust

Released on 1 July 2024 and part of the Air Jordan 4 RM line. This release has a suede upper in Sail/Black/Canyon Rust/Coconut Milk/White. The 4 sits in the run of models that turned a signature shoe into a design series, the stretch after Nike handed the line to Tinker Hatfield from the Air Jordan III and gave the brand a visual language of its own: elephant print, the Jumpman on the tongue, materials borrowed from outside sport. RM is the reworked version of that outline, built for the street rather than a court, and Canyon Rust drops it into an earth palette that has nothing to do with team colours. That is a very current use of a very old shape. Jordan Brand has run as a standalone Nike division since 1997, and reworking archive silhouettes for daily wear is one of the things that scale buys you.
