Origin
Part of the LeBron Witness 7 line. This release has a mesh upper in White/Black/Metallic Silver. The Witness line is the LeBron family made for the person paying for their own shoes, and this seventh model in white with metallic silver is the plainest, most gym ready version of it. LeBron James is a Nike signature athlete and endorser, and his name carries a full product ecosystem rather than a single shoe, which is a structure Nike invented when it signed Michael Jordan in 1984 and turned a player into a business. EP marks the wider fitting version of the shoe built for Asia Pacific markets. What you are buying is a working basketball shoe with a famous name on it, which is a much older Nike proposition than the collector market.
Utility
This is court footwear, so use it on court. Play in it indoors on clean floors, lace all the way up, wipe the outsole before you start so the traction pattern actually works, and keep a separate pair for outdoor asphalt if you play there. Construction
Performance basketball construction is about containment and impact. The rubber outsole uses a traction pattern designed for indoor courts, which wears fast on concrete.
