Air Jordan 3 RETRO Craft Ivory

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 3 February 2024 as part of the Air Jordan 3 line. This release has a leather upper in Ivory/Grey Mist/Cream. The Air Jordan 3 is the hinge of the entire line. After the first two models Nike handed the series to Tinker Hatfield, and the 3 is where a basketball shoe became a design programme: it introduced the elephant print, the grey cracked pattern that is now the brand's most recognisable material code, and it put the Jumpman on the tongue. Craft, as a treatment, strips the 3 back to its materials and lets texture carry the colour. In Ivory that means a near monochrome shoe where the elephant panel is not competing with a saturated Swoosh or a red heel. You end up looking at the pattern itself, which is exactly what the 3 introduced it for.
