Air Jordan 4 RETRO SE Craft

The Craft programme takes a shoe famous for gloss and rebuilds it in matte, textured materials, and applying it to the fourth model is the more interesting version of that experiment. The 4 is a busy silhouette by design: netting panels, plastic wings, a moulded heel and a sculpted midsole, all originally separated by colour. Craft removes the colour argument and forces the shape to hold your attention through surface instead. It is a modern echo of what the line has always done with material, from the elephant print introduced on the third model to patent leather on the eleventh: change the substance, not the pattern, and the shoe reads new.
