New Balance 327 Grey Matter

Released on 1 March 2023 and part of New Balance's 327 line. This release has a suede upper in Grey Matter/White. The 327 is New Balance rewriting its own 1970s running shapes with modern proportions, an oversized N across the side wall, a flared outsole and a much sharper, more graphic stance than the archive models it borrows from. It is the brand's most design-led everyday shoe, made for people who want the reference without the bulk. That willingness to reinterpret rather than reissue comes from a company confident about where it came from. New Balance started in 1906 as the New Balance Arch Support Company, became a runner's brand through fit rather than through image, and has stayed privately held since Jim Davis bought it in 1972.
