Released on 8 August 2023 and part of Nike's Air Alpha Force line. This release has a leather upper in White/Fire Red/Black/Neutral Grey. The Air Alpha Force 88 comes from the late 1980s, the years when Nike stopped being a running company that also made basketball shoes and became a basketball company with a running heritage. That period gave the brand nearly everything it still trades on: the Air Max arrived in 1987 with the pressurised gas unit made visible, the Michael Jordan signing of 1984 had already turned into a business of its own, and Just Do It arrived in 1988.
