Designed by Jason Petrie and released on 20 May 2022 as part of the LeBron 19 line. This release has a textile upper in Pearl White/University Gold. Nike built the modern signature shoe when it signed Michael Jordan in 1984 and turned one athlete into a business of its own. LeBron James is the line that inherited that structure, and the nineteenth model is the work of a company that has been designing around one player's body and game for two decades. Pearl White with University Gold is a deliberately regal colourway, the kind used for a player who has spent his career being described in those terms rather than for a team kit. It is a performance basketball shoe first, built for a heavy, powerful athlete generating enormous landing forces, and everything about the silhouette follows from that requirement.
