Part of the BW Army line. This release has a canvas upper in Grey/Grey/Brown. The BW Army is one of the plainest shoes adidas keeps in circulation, a low German trainer with no ornament, no colour blocking and no story it needs to tell you. That flatness is the appeal. It comes from the utilitarian end of the archive, the same company culture that started with Adolf Dassler making purpose built shoes in his mother's laundry room in Herzogenaurach and treated a shoe as a tool first. In Grey and Brown it becomes even quieter: a cool grey body warmed by brown detailing, a combination that has no era attached to it and dates almost nothing. It is the anti statement adidas, bought by people who want the Three Stripes and nothing else.
