Adidas Purechill Runner Hi-Res Yellow Black

Part of the Purechill line. This release has the Hi-Res Yellow/Core Black/Core Black colourway. Hi-Res Yellow over Core Black is a safety-vest palette used on purpose, and on the Purechill Runner it turns a contemporary running-adjacent shape into the loudest shoe in the range. adidas has always been comfortable with high-visibility colour on performance product, because its performance side is where the brand argues for itself. That side carries the three angled bars introduced in 1997 by creative director Peter Moore, while the Trefoil marks the Originals archive. A runner in hi-res yellow belongs entirely to the first category: designed to be seen moving, not to reference anything from the past. The black overlays are what make the colour wearable, framing the yellow instead of letting it flood the whole upper.
