Released on 24 November 2024 and part of the RC42 line. This release has a suede upper in Linen/Sea Salt/Rich Oak. New Balance keeps a small athlete roster and gives the people on it real product rather than logo placement, which is how a shoe like this ends up existing. The RC42 is a running derived silhouette, lean and low, built from the brand's racing vocabulary rather than its cushioned trainer side. Island Vibes turns that into something warmer and looser, a holiday palette on a shoe designed around speed. Jamal Murray's name on it places the shoe in the part of the programme where basketball players are given room to work outside their own category, which is a very New Balance thing to allow: the company sponsors the NBA and still designs like a running house.
Utility

Construction
