Yeezy Foam Runner Stone Sage

Designed by Kanye West and released on 11 March 2022 as part of the Yeezy Foam Runner line. This release has a eva upper in Stone Sage/Stone Sage/Stone Sage. The Foam Runner landed on 26 June 2020 and did something no Yeezy had done before: it deleted the sneaker entirely. No laces, no panels, no stitched collar, just one moulded shape with a cutaway upper. Stone Sage sits inside the naming convention the line has used since Pirate Black and Oxford Tan, colours pulled from terrain and raw material rather than a seasonal fashion palette. The grey green tone reads like weathered lichen or dry riverbed stone, deliberately washed out so the outline does all the talking. That is the anti branding logic the label built its footwear on: most adidas era Yeezy models carry no visible logo at all, so recognition has to come from silhouette and colourway alone, and the Foam Runner pushed that idea to its limit.
