Designed by Kanye West and released on 7 October 2022 as part of the Yeezy Slides line. This release has a eva upper in Bone/Bone/Bone. The Yeezy Slide landed in December 2019 with three launch tones, Desert Sand, Resin and Bone, and Bone is the one that never stopped selling out. What you are looking at is the 2022 re-release under style code FZ5897, the restock that finally got a pair onto feet that had spent two years losing raffles. The design brief was blunt from the start: strip a sandal down to its structural minimum, one slab of foam, one arched strap over the midfoot, nothing else on the shoe, no logo, no stitching, no branding you can point at. Bone is that idea with the volume all the way down, an off white that reads closer to skin than to sportswear. If you want the Yeezy Slide in its purest and least loud form, this is the pair.
Utility
Two ways to run them. One: charcoal sweat shorts, a heavyweight cream tee, crew socks in the same off white, so the Bone slide becomes the quietest part of the fit rather than the loudest. Two: straight leg washed denim, an oversized grey hoodie, bare feet, for the airport run and the coffee errand where zero effort needs to read as deliberate. Sizing is the part to get right. Yeezy Slides run small and come in whole sizes only, so take a full size up from your usual, and consider two up if your feet are genuinely wide. The foam softens with wear but it will not stretch, so never buy tight and hope. Cleaning is simple: warm soapy water, a cloth, a soft bristled brush for the footbed.

The Yeezy Slide pulled off something no sandal had managed before: it turned a house shoe into a status object. Pairs sold out on every release, and resale treated a foam slide with the seriousness normally reserved for a limited sneaker. Bone is the colorway that broke containment, the one that stopped reading as a Yeezy thing and became general uniform, worn to the airport, the gym car park and the corner shop with no explanation attached. Construction
One block of EVA foam does every job here. Upper, footbed and outsole are moulded as a single piece, which is why the pair weighs almost nothing on your foot and why there are no seams or glue lines waiting to fail. The strap is a thick arch cut out of that same foam, so it grips across the midfoot instead of pinching at a stitched edge. Underfoot sits a raised mid-foot arch that stops the slide going flat under you, and the outsole carries deep ridges that bite on wet tile and poolside stone. The foam is dense rather than plush, firm mattress instead of pillow, so it holds its shape through repeat wear rather than packing out flat in a season.
