Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Butter

Designed by Kanye West and released on 30 June 2018 as part of the Yeezy Boost 350 line. This release has a primeknit upper in Butter/Butter/Butter. The Boost 350 V2 landed on 24 September 2016 and became the most recognisable sneaker silhouette of its decade. Butter arrived as one of the pale, food named colourways that softened the line after its early run of blacks and greys. Where Pirate Black was severe and Beluga was loud, Butter is warm and low contrast, a yellow so muted it behaves like a neutral in most light. That fit the wider logic Kanye West set when he founded the label in 2013 and pushed for total control over footwear: colour as material, not as decoration. Butter is also one of the colourways that made the 350 V2 a daytime shoe rather than a collector object, because it looks better with wear than it does in a box.
