Released on 11 May 2024 and part of adidas's Campus line. This release has a suede upper in Deep Brown/Chalk/Pink. Bad Bunny's work with adidas ran across the brand's most ordinary silhouettes, and the Campus was one of the two he made his own. It is a suede trainer with a low collar, a flat sole and nothing else to argue about, which is precisely why a collaborator can do something with it. The Last Campus is the closing entry in that run, and the name carries the weight: not a seasonal recolour but the end of a project. What you are buying is the final version of a partnership that treated a plain suede shoe as a personal object, from an artist who chose heritage silhouettes over anything futuristic.
Suede collaborator pairs deserve simple styling. Wide leg or loose straight denim breaking just above the collar, a plain heavy tee and an unstructured jacket keeps the focus on material rather than logos. Alternatively, black cargo trousers cuffed at the ankle with a plain hoodie makes it an everyday shoe rather than a display piece. Ribbed crew socks work better than no show ones here. The Campus has a flat, unsupportive sole, so it is a walking and standing shoe for a few hours rather than a full day. Keep it out of rain, brush the suede in one direction after wear, and store it with paper in the toe.
adidas has two kinds of music history. One it was handed, when Run-DMC wrote My Adidas unpaid and the endorsement deal that followed in 1986 became the first between a musical act and an athletic company. The other it commissions, and Bad Bunny belongs to that line alongside Pharrell Williams and Beyonce. What made his run unusual was restraint. He worked on Campus and Forum shapes that had gone quiet, changed materials rather than silhouettes, and sent both back into circulation. A closing chapter shoe from that project carries more weight than most collaborations manage, because the project actually changed what people were buying.
A Campus lives on its suede. The nap is the finish, the panels are simple, and the Three Stripes sit stitched into the quarter, the structural approach adidas has used since buying the mark from Karhu Sports in 1952 when the stripes reinforced the upper. Collaborator versions usually work through material weight, tonal treatment and reworked branding rather than through new engineering, and that is the register here: the bones stay standard, the finishing carries the signature. Underneath is a flat rubber cupsole with no cushioning claim. Treat the suede properly and it will outlast the hype: protector spray before first wear, a brush after each outing, no machine washing.
