Air Jordan 1 Low Jade Horizon

Designed by Peter Moore and part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Sail/Jade Horizon/Pure Platinum/Summit White/Redstone. Jade Horizon is a soft, cooled green, the kind of tone the Air Jordan 1 could only carry once it stopped being sports equipment. The shoe began as a contract: Nike signed a Chicago Bulls rookie on 26 October 1984, expected about 3 million dollars in sales over three years, and instead watched the first 50,000 pairs sell out and the model pass 150 million dollars. Success at that scale turns a basketball shoe into a colour laboratory. Cut low and washed in jade over a pale base, this is the silhouette used the way a designer uses a familiar frame, unchanged in shape, entirely rethought in tone.
