Origin
Designed by Peter Moore and released on 13 June 2025 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Black/Tour Yellow/Chile Red. OG is not decoration on an Air Jordan 1 box. It marks the pairs cut to the original proportions Peter Moore drew before the shoe released to the public on 1 April 1985, higher wing panel, longer Swoosh, the shape collectors argue about. This Retro Low OG carries the Quai 54 name, tying it to European streetball culture rather than to any NBA season, which is a direction Jordan Brand has moved in repeatedly since becoming a Nike division in 1997. It also outgrew basketball entirely, taking on the Michigan Wolverines football programme in 2016 and Paris Saint-Germain in 2018. A tournament makeup on the original low silhouette fits that widening: the shape stays 1985, the audience does not.
Utility
Treat it as a hero piece and keep the rest flat. Recipe one: black wide leg trousers, a plain white tee, and a black lightweight jacket so the makeup's detailing is the only thing with texture.
