Air Jordan 1 High OG Unc Toe

UNC Toe is a remix of the Jordan 1's own grammar. Black Toe is one of the founding blocking arrangements, a three colour split that lets the panel seams act as a graphic, and Carolina blue is the palette tied to Jordan's own university, one of the college programmes the brand still outfits alongside Georgetown, Cincinnati and Michigan. Combining them produces a colourway that never existed in 1985 but reads as though it should have. That is the whole trick of the modern retro programme: the pattern Peter Moore drew with Bruce Kilgore is stable enough that recombining its colour positions counts as design work rather than as a reissue.
