Culture Note™

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 20 November 2021 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Bordeaux/White/Metallic Silver. A high cut Air Jordan 1 in a wine leaning colourway is the silhouette at its most formal. The shape comes from Peter Moore with Bruce Kilgore, produced for Michael Jordan on 17 November 1984 after Nike signed him that October, and released publicly on 1 April 1985 with the full collar, the Wings mark stamped at the ankle and the Nike Air tongue label. Deep red tones sit close to the Chicago palette that became an Air Jordan brand colour, but a bordeaux shade pulls it toward tailoring instead of team kit. This row does not carry a style code and spells the colour irregularly, so treat the description as the silhouette plus a dark red family rather than a confirmed single release.
